Power over Data (PoD) Solutions
ADI offers power over data solutions that enable the use of single-pair cable for both point-to-point and multidrop networks. Because the data and power share the same, single-wire cable, power over data reduces cabling costs and simplifies installation. ADI offers three complementary PoD technologies: Home Bus, PD-Link, and SPoE.
Value and Benefits
The main advantage of power over data is that it reduces costs with smaller cables and simplifies installation using just two wires, often with polarity-agnostic operation. Home Bus simplifies PoD network complexity by integrating required magnetics to couple the power and data on the shared wire pair. PD-Link enables PoD for non-native protocols by managing DC line balance at the physical layer. SPoE delivers plug-and-play PoD for T1L Ethernet.

Fast Heat Pump Installs
Watch how ADI’s Home Bus transceivers (MAX22288 and MAX22088) make it easy to design a multidrop, power-delivering backbone that installs fast and shrinks thermostats and sensors.

ADI’s Home Bus Power over Data Solution
Home Bus transceivers enhance communication with dynamic cable termination improving signal quality over longer cables and higher data rates. This webinar introduces Home Bus power over data technology and offers design tips for multinode systems.
